About Us

We are a Rubik's Cube STEM community organization located in Annapolis, MD. We believe that experiences gained through competitions encourage growth and development in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math for Elementary and Middle school students in grades 4-8.

Rubik's Cube Competition Details

Each year we host 2 Rubik's Cube Competitions. Our next competition will be held on March 16, 2024 at the Busch Annapolis Library in Annapolis, MD.

All Student competitors must obtain a parent/legal guardian permission. Parents must complete the registration form. The Registration fee is $25 to enter. All competitors will use the GAN i Carry Bluetooth Rubik's cubes, provided by Naptown Cubers, for the competition. Competitors will not use their own personal cubes to compete, however competitors may bring their own cubes to practice during the competition.

There are 4 speed categories. Your average speed must be at least 90 seconds in order to enter. There is a minimum of 2 competitors for each speed category.

Speed Categories are:

less than 20 seconds
20 - 40 seconds
41 - 60 seconds
61 - 90 seconds

Summer Camp

We also offer a week-long summer camp, in July at Pip Moyer Recreation Center in Annapolis. Campers will learn cubing techniques for the 2X2 and the 3X3 cube in a safe, fun and collaborative environment. If your speed time is greater than 90 seconds, you may want to consider our summer camp. Our summer camp concludes on Friday with a small camp competition for those campers interested in competing.

Our Summer 2024 camp will run from July 22 - July 26 from 9am - 4pm.

Our Rubik's Cube camp is a splash camp. The first half of the day is focused on the Rubik's cube. There is a one hour lunch and then the second part of the day is spent at the new Kenneth Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxton Park, sponsored by the City of Annapolis.

*Camp Registration must be done in person at Pip Moyer Recreation Center.
